Hello YouTube

I made a YouTube video.

This isn't even my first YouTube video, but it's the first one I've shared with my friends and family that show my passion of dressing up and documenting my outfits (aka fashion blogging...). I started off with vlogs from my trip to Europe as a way to capture the memories and be able to bring them back home to share with everyone here. After creating each video, it just gets more and more fun. I love watching the end result and how they turn out as well as learning new tips and tricks to edit my videos. From spending hours looking for the perfect soundtrack to learning not to be afraid to be filmed on camera, I must say that I've learned a lot throughout this entire process and I just hope I can continue doing so.

Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend in L.A.... I haven't been to the city in years so it was nice to finally be able to visit (without my parents) and explore the parts of the city I was actually interested in. It was definitely a nice insight since I've always considered moving there after graduation - I'm not more open to that idea after my visit this past weekend.

First stop was Bates Motel. This was actually my outfit from the night before but we drove straight through the night, leaving the Bay at 2AM and arriving in L.A. at 7AM. Black pajama-like pants (Still not sure how to describe them) that were comfortable enough for the long drive, my favorite textured white top that I took from my mom's closet, and my black and white printed kimono. I didn't have room to pack that many shoes, so I only brought one pair. My (current favorite) black platform sandals that I got on sale at Cathy Jean. They're super comfortable and go well with almost anything!
After we settled down, I changed into an all black ensemble that I was extremely excited about. This look was inspired by my trip to London with an extra-large black tee from the men's section at H&M and a pair of black knee-high socks. Unfortunately, L.A.'s warm and sunny weather does not go well with my love for all black outfits.
I love visiting museums and I love when my friends are also interested as well. Found this wall at the Long Beach Museum of Art and needless to say, there was a lot of time spent at this wall. A simple outfit but my favorite part was my new black cap that I got from Cotton On. I've been wanting a baseball cap and I like how this is from the girls section so it fits better on my head.
Last day in L.A.! Luckily I got to meet up with one of my best friends from Davis! Kept things simple with a black tee that I tied up and some striped high-waisted shorts. My black cap makes another appearance because I am currently obsessed with it!

A weekend full of coffee, good food, photographs, meeting new people, and catching up with old friends. The one thing I love about L.A. is how everyone dresses up there. Yes, this might add to the superficial stereotype that L.A. is more concerned about looks than anything else, but for someone like me, who loves to dress up, I finally felt like I fit in.

Los Angeles, I'll be back soon...

SF officially stands for "Sunday Funday". An adventurous day in the beautiful city of San Francisco. It didn't start off on the right foot after waiting an hour for my friends and getting hit on by multiple men. However, as the day went on, things only got better. Got to eat a delicious brunch, visited a nice coffee shop (where the picture was taken - Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters) and visited various sites of SF that I've always wanted to go to but never got the chance to.

My outfit was inspired by my recent trip to London. Simple, casual, and all black. However, I was not prepared for such a warm and sunny day (good for SF, not good for all the black I was wearing). I couldn't find my small black t-shirt so I grabbed my large one (XL from the men's section of H&M) and just tied a knot so it wouldn't be so baggy.

With school around the corner and only another year left, here's to the days where we just got to relax and enjoy the company of our good friends. Here's to reconnecting with old friends and exploring new places in our own neighborhood. Here's to the memories we've made and the ones that have yet to come.

It's been a while.

I just got back from a 1.5 month long trip to Europe. Partially for study abroad and partially for travel. I haven't been able to post anything for a while due to a lack of resources.

Since the few days I've been home, I've chopped off my hair and got my belly button pierced. I'm not done with my transformation yet (I still plan on dying me hair). Has Europe changed me? I was supposed to do a lot of crazy things in Europe, like get a tattoo and chop off my hair. I never had the time to do either (I'm kind of glad for the tattoo because the pain and care for my new piercing would have been too much to handle overseas). So I guess I've been trying to make up for the lack of crazy things I did in Europe within these past few days since I've gotten back.

I thought Europe would change me. I thought I would move on and forget all my problems, but I still kept thinking about my problems during the trip. Well, here's my chance. I've chopped off my hair - a symbol of getting rid of my extra baggage. My friends all know how much I love long hair so it was difficult to chop it all off but I'm learning to love it. I haven't thought everything through (still in pain from the piercing) but I'm just going to go along with it.

The struggles for this picture! My roommate got a new camera lens and I had this bright idea to go shooting at 6am (because that's when the sun was supposed to rise). HORRIBLE IDEA because I am NOT a morning person. But shout out to her for dealing with me hahaha. Been obsessed with this plaid shirt I thrifted from the men's section of Goodwill. The shirt I'm wearing is from my friend, because he didn't want it anymore, but I ended up cutting off the sleeves and turning it into a crop top.

Simple outfit for a lazy and gloomy Easter Sunday. My giant knit cardigan that I got a long time ago during a Black Friday sale at H&M has always kept me warm on chillier days without being too overbearing. I put on a simple necklace that was given to me by my friend. I don't have a lot of jewelry because I don't accessorize a lot...mainly because I'm too lazy. But this just reminded me that I should invest in more accessories to jazz up simpler outfits like this one.

A quick picture I snapped during spring break. I love kimonos. They're so flowy and light. They're really great to wear during night when I'm going out but I don't want to wear something heavy on top of my outfit but still want to stay warm.

This past week back to school has had its ups and downs. I turned 21(yay). It was my last day at internship (boo). Regardless, I'm going to try to make the best of this quarter.

Stay Strong. Xo
